This was just plain ol’  fun!

0827blog

Here is just a little bit more about this sweet girl:

Hobbies: I play varsity volleyball at Sarasota Christian School. I love to sing and play the piano. I love going to the beach and hanging out with friends at youth group.

Plans for the future: I plan on going to college although I don’t know where yet. I’m hoping to study early childhood education.

Favorite movie: pride and prejudice!

Favorite High School Memory: Every year my high school goes on a retreat for a couple of days. We go to a resort and do activities like swimming, canoing, and praise and worship every evening.

Advice to incoming freshmen: Make the most of your high school years by getting involved in as much as you can because it goes super fast!

What Dad says about Emily

This Orange wall is quickly becoming one of my favorite locations.  It’s vibrant, textured and fun!  It makes a beautiful color print as well as a beautiful BWs!  Here are also some beautiful words from Emily’s Dad Joe!

What is your favorite thing about Emily?  My favorite thing about Emily is how much she loves Jesus! Many times in a week I hear her playing and singing worship songs to Christ in her room. I find her reading and studying the Word of God often. I see her telling her friends about him. She is one of those rare people whose life actually demonstrates that she really does love him.

Describe Emily in 3 words:  faithful, graceful,  peacemaker

Tell a funny story from Emily’s childhood:  Emily once broke her arm in the living room jumping over a “Duplo Box”!!!

Emily – According to her Mom

One of the many things I love about Em is that she is always singing.  From the time she was a little girl, she could always be heard singing around the house.  I still  vividly remember her sweet little toddler voice singing “Part of Your World” from the movie The Little Mermaid, perfectly on key with every word right.  And now that she’s “all grown up” she has a beautiful voice that she uses to lead worship or just bring a smile to anyone’s face who hears her.

Psalm 27:8

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
