As little girls our parents used to help us plant cheerios and in the morning we’d wake up and there would be a box of jolly pirate doughnuts in its place.

Describe a favorite family memory

Christmas at Mom and Dads when the kids were young and we would all pile in and stay up half the night talking and laughing.

Singing together when our children were young at home.

we all love to just watch a good movie together.

What do you like to do together?

 When we are all together. We remember funny stories from the past and we usually end up discussing scripture or learning about what’s going on in our respective churches.

 The closeness

I always know that I can count on them and they will be there no matter what!

I like that we can all depend on each other for support, no matter what happens.

What is the most important thing your parents taught you?

 The most important thing that my parents have taught me is to love god with all your heart, and always put him first. no matter what.

 That God loved me and that life could be good in the sweet here and now….and the sweet by and by.

 Be true to yourself and others

 Scott and I initially met though a dating website, eharmony. I realized right away that we both attended Suncoast Community because one of his profile pictures was him playing the guitar at church. I recognized the backdrop of the stage to be that of Suncoast of course. We had a few conversations over the phone and decided we would like to meet each other in person. We decided to meet at a Starbucks in Sarasota.

 Describe your first date:

We met at Starbucks coffee shop for our first date where we immediately hit it off. We ordered drinks and sat and talked for three hours. We shared quite a bit about each others lives and I could tell that we would be seeing each other again. I’m sure I could have kissed her good night on that first date but decided to be a gentleman and wait.

What do you love most about Erin?   What I love most about Erin is how sweet and kind she is. It is clear that she has a genuine concern for me and others. She understands others needs, listens well and has a great sense of humor.

What do you love most about Scott?   What I love most about Scott is that he is very caring and is always concerned about my well-being. He is a great listener and I feel I can tell him anything. I love spending time with him; we truly enjoy each other’s company. We enjoy doing the same things and have a lot of common interests. I love that he is a devoted Christian and that we can grow together on our love walk with God.

How did he propose?  Scott had set up an “appointment” with a pastor that we had met with before for a dating counseling session. We decided to leave early enough to stop for a cup of coffee before we went to our appointment. We stopped at the Starbucks on University Pkwy, where we had first met…..I thought it was a little weird that we were stopping at that one, because we had to pass one near my house and we would have to actually pass another one on the way to the appt, but really didn’t give it any more thought.  We went in and ordered our drinks, and the barista apologized and said that the espresso machine was “malfunctioning” and suggested we have a seat and she would bring our drinks to us as soon as they got the machine “up and running”. A few minutes later, she brings our drinks over and I was confused b/c it didn’t feel right….it felt kind of light. I shake it a little and there was no liquid in it.  I opened the cup to find a red box inside…….I was a little confused. I open the box and inside was the most beautiful diamond ring ever! I was a little stunned…….truly not expecting it. As soon as I opened it, Scott down on one knee and proposed, and I, of course, said YES!!!!

What is the most important thing your parents taught you?  To treat other people the way we want to be treated and to love Jesus.  To put God first in your home and respect each other.  Courage & faith.

Describe your family in one word:  Loving, Loving, Loving, Caring.

Describe your family in three words or less:  courage, quiet faith, my family loves Jesus, giving of themselves, helping other people, patient kind understanding

Describe a favorite family memory:    Around 1989, our family chartered a 58 foot sailboat, complete with captain and cook and we sailed the Virgin Islands. For 10 days, we lived on the boat. There were 9 of us and we were all together 24/7. It was a wonderful vacation.  When all the family is together at Christmas.  Christmas morning breakfasts.

What do you like to do together? We like family dinners and I like that we are friends as well as family. Actually, in this life, it all begins and ends with family  Eat and play games.  Having dinner with the whole family.  Holiday dinners

What do you like best about being in your family?  We are all Christians, loving one another,  if you’re in our family you’re loved & protected because our parents have always showed that.

Tell me about a favorite family memory: 

Will:  One favorite family memory believe it or not, is all of us going to IHOP for breakfast every Sunday after church, putting our name in differently each time, i.e. Capone, Rodriguez, Popielinski, etc.

Sherri:  Playing the spoon game at formal night on our cruise last summer. And teaching our table mates how to flip a spoon through the air and have it land in the water glass. So fun, so inappropriate!

Kelsey:  A favorite family memory would probably be when we took our cruise to Mexico. We had a blast

Morgan:  Going to Cozumel Mexico on a cruise for summer vacation!

What do you like best about being in your family?

“What I like best about being in my family is JESUS and how He is working in each of our lives. There is high devotion in our home.”

Tell me something about: Kristen

Kristen is a worship leader.   This girl is just as sweet as they come.  Jesus shines through her eyes and sings through her voice….we will miss her so much!  Kristen is my love =[ and is gone.  I’ve never met anyone who loves the lord as much as she does. She always has a smile on her face, and she always seems to overcome any obstacles in her life.  Crazy for the lord and a great big sister.

Tell me something about: Kelsey

Kelsey sings like an angel. Kelsey has the biggest smile and the deepest heart. She is always adorable and is wise beyond her years. Her room is a wreck but you can’t hold it against her.  Kelsey is fun.  My best friend and the closest thing to me.  She is the best and I don’t want her to be any different<333

Tell me something about: Tara

Tara is a godly young woman with a passion to lead others to Christ. She is just as sweet as Kristen. She loves the Lord, loves strawberries and fun jewelry. Tara doesn’t really eat when she comes over, she “samples” 10 different things.  My best friend she is always looking out for me and making sure everything in my life is going well. So loving.  Nice and really fun to do things with.

Tell me something about: Morgan

Morgan is a comedian.  Our friends nicknamed her “The Morganza” and that fits her.  Lots of energy, enthusiasm, and joy for life.  She loves buying gifts for others and is very helpful, especially in the kitchen.   Mint chocolate chip ice cream no more!  Craziest one of us all. Talks a million words a minute, loves everyone and hates fighting.
